Coming Soon! Forces of Valor-UH-1D Huey US Army Vietnam, 1968 Diecast Model Helicopter

UH-1D Huey US Army Vietnam, 1968 Diecast Model Helicopter

Expected Late July 2010. Forces of Valor UH-1D Huey US Army Helicopter Model. First flown on October 20, 1956, the UH-1 (nicknamed “Huey”) was designed to meet a US Army need for a helicopter to perform casualty operations and general utility roles. The Huey first entered service in Vietnam in 1962 where it proved to be rugged and reliable. Its design provided for an ideal combination of cabin room, speed, and lifting capability. Machine guns and rocket pods allowed return fire from door gunners at the rear and sides of the aircraft. Troops could now be taken into combat by the Huey helicopter and dropped at key strategic positions such as enemy escape routes.

The Unimax "Forces of Valor" 1:48 diecast model helicopter features:
  • Diecast metal construction with some plastic components.
  • Realistic panel lines, antennas, access panels, and surface details.
  • Pad printed markings and placards that won't fade or peel like decals.
  • Optional extended/retracted landing gear.
  • Fixed display stand to display the aircraft "in flight".
  • Detailed pilots and crew members.
  • Authentic detachable ordnance loads complete with placards.
Only: $54.99
